Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Craniofacial and Surgical Care provides a diverse approach to treatment for patients with craniofacial or oral and maxillofacial conditions, including those with multiple or complex oral health problems. The Orthodontics discipline focuses on the treatment of irregularities of the teeth, jaws, and bite relationship in children and adults.
Position Summary
This position completes a wide variety of tasks that include: checking patients in and out, scheduling new appointments, processing payments from patients, creating and distributing screening packages, answering and processing telephone calls, generating patient/ doctor letters, receiving mail, answering questions and numerous other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the department manager and faculty.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Ability to convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups; ability to adjust language or terminology to meet needs of the recipient.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prior patient care experience preferred. Spanish-speaking preferred
