ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST

Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for the position of Administrative Specialist in the Wall College of Business.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Providing support for instructional activities of faculty by copying exams/handouts; reserving instructional equipment and rooms; maintaining faculty schedules, contact info, and syllabi;
• Managing departmental operations by assisting the Department Chair; controlling access to facilities; generating mass mailings, maintaining accurate files for advising and registration using Ellucian Colleague; managing control of supplies; record keeping of travel budget and associated paperwork for travel;
• Learning University policies and procedures and ensuring departmental requests and forms are submitted completely and correctly;
• Enabling departmental activities by scheduling and preparing for faculty committee, departmental and board meetings and taking accurate meeting minutes as needed;
• Providing support for faculty research and instructional needs by managing graduate assistant schedules;
• Coordinating college and departmental level student activities;
• Supporting faculty advisors for undergraduate advising; and
• Assisting with college level events and activities.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two (2) years of secretarial/clerical experience is required. Equivalent education, training, and experience will be considered.

Administrative Specialist (AA50/61122949/FTE-S01003P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 03. Salary range: $26,385.00 (minimum) – $37,605.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. 
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma. Two (2) years of secretarial/clerical experience. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Possess well developed office management skills including typing, and should be able to work with various computer software packages, especially Office 365.
