General Description / Primary Purpose | This position will provide administrative support to the Department of Biology and to the Coastal and Marine Biology program. The incumbent of this position will assist and serve as back up to the Biology Office Manager in performing administrative duties related to the Biology office. The incumbent will also perform multiple administrative tasks for the Coastal and Marine Biology program and assists the Director in the organization and development of the Coastal and Marine Biology program. |
Essential Duties
Job Function | 80% Administrative Responsibilities: Maintains Coastal and Marine Biology and departmental budgets. Initiates requisitions, change orders and similar financial forms. Prepares budgetary reports detailing receipts, expenditures, etc. Reconciles p-card purchases for self and departmental faculty. Processes travel for all Biology and Coastal faculty, staff, students and guests. Generates key requests and maintains a key access database for all authorized key holders in the Biology building. Processes student overrides during registration periods. Manages book orders for faculty on a semester basis. Handles the coordination of local, regional, national, and international scientific conferences held at UNF. Facilitates lodging, transportation and other logistical and budgeting aspects relating to these conferences. 20% Receptionist: Greets and directs the public. Answers phone. Assists with office machines (fax, typewrite, printers, copiers). Collects materials and documents. |
