Job Description:

Bass Connections –program manager for two bass connections programs between July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025:

The primary duties under Bass Connections-  GEMINI are:

  • Plan, implement, and coordinate systems designed to monitor the collection, storage, and dissemination of data related to the Alcohol Use Behavioral Phenotyping Test project and to assist various GEMINI programs/projects as delineated by the director.
  • Maintain liaison with project participants and partners including researchers, project personnel, learners, participating subjects, and interested parties to establish global communication systems and maintain study progress.
  • Prepare analyses, reports, and manuscripts setting forth progress, trends, and appropriate recommendations and/or conclusions as requested.
  • The primary duties under Bass Connections Reproductive Care Post-Roe are:
  • Planned, implemented, and coordinated to monitor the collection, storing, and dissemination of data related to the Reproductive Healthcare Post Roe Audio Archive.
  • Organize and maintain a data security plan with students, Duke personnel, and study team staff.
  • Serve as a liaison and provide administrative assistance between team personnel including staff, students, consultants, and physicians.
  • Develop and prepare study proposals, reports, analyses, and manuscripts.

Research Activities: All time for this position will be reserved for research, coordination, and program management activities. We expect this employee to focus half time (15 hours per week) on the Global Emergency Medicine Innovation and Implementation (GEMINI) Research Center infrastructure development and the management of our Alcohol Use Behavioral Phenotyping Test Bass Connections team.

  • Employees will maintain contact with learners and project personnel to assist in building the GEMINI infrastructure and achieving project milestones.
  • Responsible for student learning of project management activities, data science, and conducting innovative and ethical Global Health research.
  • Responsible for assisting in the management of this project across five global sites, coordinating student and site progress, and maintaining strong communication networks.

The remaining 15 hours per week will be spent on the Reproductive Healthcare Post-Roe Bass Connection team:

  • Must maintain contact with learners, physicians, consultants, security team, and law personnel regarding the research and public presentation of it via conference presentations and the website.
  • Responsible for student learning of oral history methodology, data science, and security, and how to disseminate scientific findings to a larger audience across the duration of the course.
  • Responsible for managing interview scheduling, maintaining the audio archive, developing additional study proposals, building and maintaining strong relationships with team members and partner organizations, and finding new locations to disseminate study findings.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
