The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, and the Vascular Medicine Institute at the University of Pittsburgh seeks a qualified Administrative Assistant III - Administrative Coordinator.  The Administrative Coordinator position provides high level administrative support for the faculty and administration of the VMI. This role will serve as the primary coordinator for conferences, publications, grant support, web management, and operational support for leadership.

Main duties:

1. Research Conference Coordination
2. Publications
3. Website management
4. Grant support/MTAs/CDAs
5. General admin support for 8 faculty: Feng, Hazra, Ofori-Acquah, Okawa, Wu, Xu, Yien, Zhang
6. General operational support to admin leadership team



Job Summary

Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.


Essential Functions 

Computer skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, time management skills. Ability to prioritize is essential. Must be detailed oriented. Knowledge of University of Pittsburgh policies preferred.


Physical Effort 

This is a relatively sedentary position. May need to escort faculty and visitors through university. May need to walk to other labs and university offices.
