The Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic

The Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic (LSJLC) is a collective of several live-client legal clinics at Loyola Law School with two main goals: to advance social justice by providing free, best-practices legal advocacy to individuals who would otherwise fall through the "justice gap"; and to provide law students with practical experience in real-world lawyering skills. Operationally, the LSJLC is therefore a hybrid organization: a law firm housing several legal practices and also an educational program consistent with the social justice mission, and the policies and practices, of Loyola Law School and its parent institution, Loyola Marymount University. The LSJLC' s eight in-house live-client clinical programs are staffed by over 30 fulltime attorneys, paralegals, social workers and policy advocates. In addition, the LSJLC oversees additional clinics taught primarily off-site by adjunct faculty.
