What we want
The Office of Admissions is looking for a Administrative Associate III who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Prometric Testing Center, including but not limited to proctoring exams for professional clients as well as Texas A&M University students, scheduling testing and maintaining a knowledgebase of related procedures, proctoring, and security measures. This position must pass an IRS background check that is required by Prometric. Our ideal candidate will be able to handle minor computer issues and to cover areas when others are absent. Our candidate will be willing to work overtime during peak testing season. Our candidate will be able to communicate effectively with Prometric staff in resolving testing issues and scheduling dates. Finally, our candidate has the ability to keep up with requirements outlined in our contract with Prometric and train and manage employees to ensure compliance and keep required certifications up to date.

What you need to know
Salary: $16.00 hourly
Cover Letter & Resume: A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended. 

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of experience in general office or clerical work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 3 years of experience proctoring in a test environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative - Performs word processing, desktop publishing, presentation, and data management activities, and assists staff with the use of these applications. Composes correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations, including editing and proofreading. Creates and maintains spreadsheets and databases. Researches and analyzes administrative requirements for specific program and projects. Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs. May perform mail services. Applies, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures and serves as a resource for answering questions regarding policies.
  • Records and Reports - Maintains a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records. Posts information to agency records and modifies forms or records. Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, and other documents.
  • Maintain Lab - Maintains office supplies and equipment. Maintains office reference materials, including online office materials. Maintains and keeps up to date manuals.
  • Scheduling Part-time Student Assistants - May coordinate activities and assign work to student assistants and support staff. May participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of student assistants and other support staff.
