Salary & Compensation

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications
  • Skill in prioritizing, management and organization sufficient to achieve the desired goals within established, accepted timeframes, to optimize efficiency and minimize the duplication of effort (Required)
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction. (Required)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collect and convey information with accuracy and diplomacy at various levels. This includes the ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and to establish cooperative working relationship (Required)
  • Excellent written communication skills including skill in editing correspondence and manuscripts for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, bibliographic formats etc. - (Required)
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive matters appropriately. (Required)
  • General office skills such as maintaining calendars, coordinating meetings and conferences, developing and maintaining filing systems, screening and prioritizing mail and telephone calls, etc. (Required)
  • Ability to use computer hardware and software using both a PC and Macintosh platform along with common programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. (Required)
  • Skill in making travel arrangements including knowledge of travel modes, reservation techniques, car rental, hotel booking systems and time zone changes. (Required)
  • Experience using Endnote, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and reference search/download tools such as SciFinder and Web of Science. (Preferred)
  • Skill in basic HTML and web page design for maintaining web pages and creating new ones as needed. (Preferred)
  • Skill in financial planning, budget preparation and the administration of a budget. (Required)
  • Ability to use specialized scientific software such as Chemdraw and the ability to learn these software packages quickly. (Preferred)
