Job Summary
Provides front desk management for patients, family members, unit staff, and physicians as well as administrative support services for clinical operations of the Endoscopy Units. Performs a variety of activities including clerical, data collection and report preparation as well as procedure/staff scheduling for both campuses. Responsible for all payroll functions for all both endoscopy units. Assists with problem solving of patient billing issues; Coordinates scheduling with physician offices and Endoscopy leadership. Coordinates technology maintenance (printers, endo-pro workstations, phones, fax machines, etc.), clinical engineering issues, and facilities issues. Greets patients and escorts to procedural area.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications
• Graduation from high school and two to three years of related clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential issues with discretion
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with Epic and Endo Pro systems
• Previous procedure scheduling experience
