ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I, Sloan School of Management-Executive Degree Programs, to provide administrative support for the admissions and delivery of the MIT Executive MBA (EMBA) and MIT Sloan Fellows programs. Will report to the assistant director of EMBA admissions and serve as the receptionist for the suite. Responsibilities include planning and executing logistics for recruiting events and information sessions; collaborating with the assistant director on obtaining application materials, communicating status updates, distributing applications for evaluation, and greeting visiting candidates; working with program leaders as they make final admission decisions; eliciting, tracking, and entering accepted students’ materials in programs and MIT’s systems prematriculation and preparing material for orientations; coordinating applicant interviews, interview dates and locations, and admissions staff meetings; assisting with setting up and delivering program webinars, preview workshops, and info sessions; responding to inquiries; providing customer service and logistical support to students and visitors, including acting as a point of contact, on selected program delivery days/evenings; maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentation files; and assuring ongoing data integrity.
REQUIRED: minimum of two years' business experience, preferably in executive education; experience with data management; demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service, coordinating and delivering complex and challenging programs, building relationships, multitasking, and working effectively in a pressured work environment; strong organizational skills; and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills. Seek a creative self-starter who is able to work effectively both individually and as part of cross-disciplinary teams that include staff from EMBA, Sloan Fellows, and other departments as well as faculty and students.
