Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) provides mental health counseling and consultation to the undergraduate, graduate and professional students of The Ohio State University.

The administrative assistant is responsible for providing administrative support within the organization. The candidate uses word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software to draft correspondence, presentations, agendas, reports and other materials; provides administrative support to the Director in the absence of the administrative manager; supports department search efforts, provide assistance to the Director in coordination with the administrative manager, supports the department’s assessment activities, and may provide backup fiscal support including travel and procurement in high volume periods; provides reception for Counseling and Consultation Service co-located at Younkin Success Center and Lincoln Tower; answers high volume multiline phones, including calls from distressed constituents, fields student requests for prescription refills, checks in clients, schedules client appointments, and provides customer service to a diverse client population; handles confidential information and inquiries, works effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintains knowledge of CCS services, and provides resource options; participates in staff trainings and weekly meetings. This position may include occasional backup for evening coverage. Other duties may be assigned in coordination with the administrative manager.

Minimum qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience required.

2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Target hiring range: $17.74 - $23.65.
