Major Duties

Under general supervision of the Director, the Administrative Analyst provides program administrative leadership, analysis, and support for all Faculty Development programs/events with complex budgetary responsibilities. The incumbent coordinates support for all staff, students, faculty fellows/ associates, and faculty participants using independent judgment to amplify the success of the office.

  • Plans, coordinates, and evaluates program data (e.g., RSVPs, completion, evaluation) for assessment and evaluation analyses purposes. Independently creates and maintains department databases/ spreadsheets. Conducts descriptive and inferential statistical analyses for reporting and public relations purposes in ways that can be shared across campus.
  • Serves as the unit’s physical space coordinator for both FacDev Commons & VH215 offices. Physically staffs the spaces, manages staff scheduling, provides event and hospitality support, monitors and orders equipment/technology/supplies, provides space training, and conducts space data analyses.
  • Provides oversight and complex analysis of the unit budget, including monitors proposed spending plans, tracks spending, facilitates accounting, analyzes spending options, generates future cost projections, makes recommendations.
  • Provides administrative project leadership of all event programming (e.g., recruitment management, participant email notifications, evaluation data, room reservations, and hospitality management).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
  • Equivalent to three (3) years of full-time, progressively responsible technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
  • Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required education, on a year-for-year basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational analysis and techniques. Thorough knowledge of budgeting. Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with data and numbers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of campus audience members (faculty, administrators, staff and students) with diverse identities, personalities and working styles. Many FacDev programs include discussions on difficult topics such as anti-racism, diversity, equity & inclusion. Because this person is a liaison representative of the unit, some basic diversity, equity, inclusion knowledge and competencies and a willingness to grow and improve is required.
  • Ability and specialized skills to expertly investigate and analyze problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.  Ability to oversee and/or train others and provide lead work direction; interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures to develop conclusions and make recommendations; compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; and communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Classification: Admin Analyst/Spclst / 1038  / grade 2
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $4379 - $5300 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $4379 - $7922 per month.
  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.  
  • This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period. 
  • The position is currently hybrid ( 4 days in office, 1 day remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
