Description of Work | The BPAC Business Center at the University of Nebraska Lincoln provides administrative support to the Department of Chemistry. The Admin Tech position provides oversight of administrative, and operational activities for the department. Supports Department Chair: maintains calendars, arranges meetings, and organizes ongoing projects. Plans and administers departmental events. Designs and manages content for websites, highlighting departmental activities and oversees social media. Supervisor for office support staff. Is a liaison with Dean’s Office staff. Liaison to College Marketing and Communications Team. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications | Associate’s degree plus 4 years experience in an office/clerical position required; equivalent education/experience considered. Must be proficient with word processing, database and spreadsheet software programs. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience with large integrated financial management systems (i.e. SAP) preferred. Knowledge about academic environment helpful. |
