The mission of the Adrian Dominican School of Education is to promote academic excellence as it prepares caring, ethical, and highly skilled professional educators and counselors to teach and work in a wide range of culturally diverse learning environments.
The Counseling Programs are CACREP accredited. This position involves teaching core courses in the MS program.

The Counseling Programs are CACREP accredited including the Master’s in Counseling with specializations in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling; Clinical Mental Health Counseling; and School Counseling, and the Ph.D. in Counseling. The Ph.D. in Counseling has a Couple, Marriage and Family Counseling specialization.

This position involves teaching core courses in the MS program. Flexibility and a strong counselor identity are preferred qualities, as is demonstrable commitment to academic excellence and student success, and the ability to work collegially and collaboratively with the faculty within both the Counseling Program and the Adrian Dominican School of Education.

This is hybrid position.

Teach courses in the Master’s and/or the Doctoral Program in Counseling across all specializations at the Miami Shores campus. Courses are delivered in several formats including asynchronous/online, hybrid, and face-to-face.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Candidate must have a Ph.D. degree from a CACREP-accredited program and have teaching experience in a counseling program.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • A Florida license (LMHC or LMFT) or are eligible OR certification in school counseling, and
  • Clinical experience in school counseling, clinical mental health counseling, and/or marriage and family counseling,
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor graduate students in a variety of delivery formats.
