Unit Mission Statement
The Environment & Sustainability Program promotes multidisciplinary education and research to produce active and literate environmental citizens, leaders, and problem solvers. We emphasize the value of integrating knowledge and approaches from the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and professional schools to generate a holistic understanding of environmental issues and policy making, while simultaneously stressing the need for in-depth training in at least one environmental discipline.
Position Summary
The Environment & Sustainability Program at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a non-tenure-track adjunct position. We seek an individual with expertise in farming and sustainable agriculture. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a lecture and lab section of ENSP 440 Sustainable Agriculture in Spring 2025
Required Qualifications
A MA/MS in any environmentally oriented discipline or equivalent experience and qualifications is required. Teaching or research on or experience doing sustainable agriculture is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in an environmentally oriented discipline is preferred at the time the candidate begins the appointment, August 10 for fall or January 10 for spring start date. Previous academic teaching experience is desirable.
