Job Description:

The SUNY Polytechnic Institute seeks to hire part-time (adjunct) instructors for courses for Fall 2023 in the MS program in Data Science Analytics for Data Analytics Tools and Bridge to Data Science classes. Classes may be in person or online, with scheduling adaptable to instructor availability. 

Classes available and topics covered are: 

DSA 504: Data Analytics Tools. Practical script language programming for data analytics and data management. Topics include R programming, Python programming, operating system shell scripting, and programmatic data access and storage.  

 DSA 500: Bridge to Data Science. Topics include vector and matrix operations, systems of linear equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, matrix factorizations, least-squares problems, descriptive statistics, probability rules, probability distributions, statistical significance, hypothesis testing, estimation, Bayesian paradigm.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualification is a Master's degree in data science or a related field from a college or university by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, and applicable expertise in the topic areas.
