Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an Adjunct Instructor who is a licensed speech language pathologist and has experience evaluating school age children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is part of the UNC Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD) and involves working with an inter/multidisciplinary team.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master’s degree in speech language pathology or communication sciences. At least 5 years of experience evaluating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Knowledge and experience working with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems is required. At least 1 year of experience supervising graduate clinicians and/or clinical fellows in speech language pathology.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Strong preference for multilingual speech language pathologist with experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and childhood apraxia of speech.
