Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:
The Department of Nutrition, Hospitality & Human Services at Lamar University invites applications for the Adjunct Instructor (Hospitality) pooled position. Adjunct instructors are temporary, part-time instructors assigned to one or more classes per semester. Applications for this position will be collected and reviewed for open adjunct instructor positions in the future, as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Candidates should be capable of teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level and be qualified per SACS guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
  • For undergraduate courses in Hospitality, applicants should have a graduate-level degree and at least 18 hours of the coursework in the hospitality discipline.
  • For graduate courses in Hospitality, applicants should hold a doctorate in Hospitality Management or closely related field with at least 18 hours of the coursework in the hospitality discipline.
