We are currently accepting resumes/vitas for Adjunct Instructors to teach online graduate and undergraduate Data Science courses.

This position is best filled by well-rounded and ambitious data science professionals/educators/scholars. Successful candidates will have direct, hands-on experience programming in Python and R languages; and experience with data mining, predictive modelling, and machine learning.

Primary Area of Interest: Data Science

Location: Online.

Degree: Minimum of a Master's degree required; PhD desired.

Degree Area: Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field.

Qualifications/Skills: At least two years of relevant industry experience in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics or related field outside of academia. Two years of teaching experience is highly preferred.

Primary Functions:

  • Teach assigned online Data Science courses. Bellevue University delivers courses during Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer terms each year.
  • Motivate students to develop their data science skills and expand their knowledge of the field.
  • Actively engage with students and provide constructive feedback on assignments.
  • Participate in weekly synchronous discussions with students—a minimum of one hour each week.
  • Actively engage with students in the course discussion forum to expand on the current week’s content, answer questions, and/or provide coding assistance.
  • Ability to connect with students from diverse educational backgrounds, lifestyles, cultures and national perspectives.
  • Availability to respond to student questions/issues within established University timelines.

Pay:

Adjunct Faculty are paid a fixed rate salary based on course assignment.  The compensation for course assignment ranges from $2,000 - $2,625 per course assignment based upon degree level and course modality.
