Brief Job Overview/Summary
The Sociology and Anthropology program, located within the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Stockton University, accepts applications from qualified adjunct (part-time) instructors. Opportunities may exist to teach an undergraduate course during the day or evening at our campuses in Galloway or Atlantic City. Services are contracted on a semester/term basis. Available teaching assignments vary semester to semester.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

- Teach courses as scheduled
- Use Blackboard (the Learning Management System) to support the course
- Provide a syllabus for students and the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences no later than the 1st day of classes in the semester they are teaching
- Submit required and recommended course materials to the campus bookstore in a timely manner
- Access student work and provide timely feedback
- Provide weekly office hours (virtual or in-person) and communicate frequently with students
- Select course objectives and administer student evaluations according to established timelines
- Stay up to date in the field and pedagogy in higher ed.
- Consult with the Center for Teaching and Learning Design (CTLD) as needed
- Follow all guidelines and meet expectations of faculty in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences
