Job Title: Adjunct Faculty in Core Communication - Comms 101: Mass Communications and Society

Job Classification: Adjunct Faculty - Teaching. The class may be taught in the day or evening. If evening, it may be taught through Continuing Education (Evening Classes, Salt Lake Center or BYU Online).

Required Degree: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: Preference will be given to the candidate with five to ten years professional experience in any of the following areas:

  • Communications Core and Electives
  • Media Law and Ethics
  • Media Criticism
  • Media Theories
  • Media and Public Policy

Duties/Expectations: Adjunct teaching opportunity teaching Comms 101: Media and Society. Course content will be in the field of communications studies and social media. The course will be three credits and will follow the curriculum provided by the School of Communications faculty. Adjunct obligations will be limited to instruction only, unless prior notice is given to the adjunct instructor.
