Adjunct Faculty

General Description of the Position

To build a pool of qualified applicants, the Division of Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science accepts applications for adjunct faculty positions in Mathematics. Applicants with qualifications to teach core mathematics such as Calculus I and II, Discrete Mathematics, and Combinatorics should apply. Applications should include a cover letter, resume, and three professional references. Courses are to be taught in an online-synchronous formats (lectures would be delivered through Blackboard Collaborate, Webex, or another similar software).


Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Requirements of the Position:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the field or a related field for which you are applying.
  • In some instances, applicants with a bachelor’s degree, five-plus years of experience, and active certification(s) are considered.
  • Experience teaching at the college level is preferred.
  • Experience with Distance Education and the necessary software.

  • Demonstrate subject-matter expertise.
  • Provide feedback to the chairperson and program director on possible curricular improvements.
