Acute & Tertiary Care Faculty Full-Time Non-Tenure Stream
Nurs-Acute and Tertiary Care - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24002329)
The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is looking for qualified applicants for full-time, non-tenure stream faculty in the Department of Acute and Tertiary Care.
Faculty members are employees of the University and receive dedicated time and resources to perform scholarly work, travel to present their work at professional conferences, and opportunities to pursue specialty certification and faculty practice. Faculty promotion opportunities are available for all ranks. Qualifications for this non-tenure stream faculty position include a graduate degree in nursing, an earned doctorate (DNP or Ph.D.) or current enrollment in a doctoral program with expected completion within five years of the date of hire, and unencumbered RN licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Instructor – A) Master’s degree in nursing or a related field; B) Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity; C) Demonstrated expertise in the indicated area of medical-surgical nursing; D) RN license in Pennsylvania; E) Current enrollment in a doctoral program (DNP or PhD) with expected completion within five years of the date of hire.
Assistant Professor – A) An earned doctorate (DNP or Ph.D.) in nursing or a related field is required; B) Evidence of excellence in clinical practice and potential for excellence in classroom teaching and mentoring and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity; C) Demonstrated expertise in the area of nursing or expertise in a related substantive area; D) Evidence of potential to produce scholarly work.
