Accounts Payable Specialist

Assist in the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that payments are processed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Multiple email inbox monitoring.
  • Pre-audit of invoices received from the campuses and other departments in the SEI organization.
  • Scanning of vendor invoices in preparation for data entry.
  • Verify that A/P transactions comply with all SEI disbursement policies.
  • Assist in handling questions from internal customers related to systems use and payment statuses.
  • Perform vendor account reconciliations and facilitate payment issue resolution.
  • Perform additional project-based duties as needed.

Education:

  • Associates or 4 year college degree preferred but not required.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in accounting and processing large volume of accounts payable transactions.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Coupa and PeopleSoft Financials accounting software is a plus.
  • Must have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to travel 0% of time.
  • Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
  • Typical office setting.
  • Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro is required to perform this job.
  • Access information using a computer.
  • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
  • Effectively cope with stressful situation
  • Strong mental acuity
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

$21.50 - $32.75 - Hourly
