Description of Work Unit | This work unit exists to implement the resources and programs of the Eagle County Extension Specialists for Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Horticulture and Small Acreage Management. Eagle County Extension is one county within the CSU Extension System of 64 counties which provides information, education and encourages the application of research-based knowledge in response to local, county and state issues affecting individuals, youth, families, agricultural enterprises and the communities within Eagle County. |
Position Summary | This position provides administrative, personnel, financial and technical support for the Eagle County Extension office. The Eagle County Extension office is made up of the County Director with Family & Consumer Science responsibilities, Horticulture and Small Acreage Management Specialist, and the 4-H Youth Development Specialist. This position acts as a liaison to the county administration, CSU Extension personnel and the general public. The position implements guidelines, assists three Extension Specialists and Volunteers with various needs for special projects or programs. This position ensures outcomes and assists the Eagle County Extension Specialists in making decisions relevant to Eagle County and Extension’s mission. Analyzes, integrates and interprets data from various sources, to assist in implementing resources and programs. Supports volunteers from each programming area. Assists with organization and coordination of projects and program logistics and resources to meet all deadlines and maintain quality of programming. Excellent customer service skills required, effectively interacting with Extension Staff, citizens, and other County staff and officials in a courteous and professional manner. Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions. This position is located in Eagle County and will work in the office at 441 Broadway, Eagle CO regularly. May be required to set-up and assist at off-site locations for the administration of programs. Handles confidential and sensitive information on a routine basis. |
