Position Description

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's Department of Accounting and Legal Studies seeks to build a pool of part-time instructors who may be called upon from time to time to teach Personal Law and Law and Legal Environment classes. Some openings may be available during the period from November 2021 through October 31, 2024.


Examples of Duties

Duties will include teaching classes at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Ability to meet College of Business standards for scholarly activity is required. Instructional delivery may be required through on-line, traditional, and alternative instructional methods and can occur on main campus or off-site educational locations.


Qualifying Experience / Education

The pool members minimum qualifications include: (1) a Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school; AND (2) professional work experience involving business and legal matters.  Law license (particularly Pennsylvania license), recent law-related publications, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Consideration will be given to those candidates who meet AACSB and College of Business standards for professional qualification.

Finalists for these positions must communicate well and successfully complete the interview process, as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
