Custodial Worker I

Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition.  Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as toilets, urinals, floors, walls, and glass.  Removes rubbish from labs and offices.  Utilizes knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.   Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.  Works under the direct supervision of our Custodial Supervisor.

• Sweep, mop, and scrub laboratory floors, vacuum conference and office floors.  Move tables and chairs as needed for Learning Center activities.  
• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms including toilets, urinals, floors, counters, and mirrors.  Empty trash and restock supplies including toilet paper and paper towels.
• Clean entranceways from accumulated insects and trash.  Clean glass windows inside and outside.  Dust and polish furniture.
• Dust and remove cobwebs inside and outside all entrances.
• Track inventory supplies.  Restock your own storage closet as needed.

Normal Work Schedule:

Work schedule 5:00 am- 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday. 

Schedules may change due to unforeseen activities in the Learning Center and Administration Building.

$16-$18/hr. (depending on experience/qualifications)

• Completion of ninth grade

A criminal background and post-offer health assessment will conducted.

Maintaining a valid Florida's Driver License is required.
