Job Description:

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly professional individual to take on the important role of Manager of Health Care Administration. In this capacity, you will play a pivotal role within the department, working closely with departmental leadership to perform analyses and oversee projects that align with our clinical mission. This position is integral to the success of the department, as it involves guiding initiatives from initial assessment and analysis all the way through to implementation, while continually evaluating and improving processes. Along with overseeing our Advanced Practice Provider and Scribe programs, this position has the opportunity to truly make a difference in fostering an effective work environment.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with department leadership, working closely with the Vice Chair of Administration, in evaluating current operations and support process improvement initiatives aligned with the department and college’s strategic goals. This includes developing influential objectives based on identified needs of the clinical mission.
  • Manage and participate in Advanced Practice Provider recruitment, education and on-boarding.
  • Lead the scribe program for the department and work closely with the scribe program Medical Director.
  • Establish and manage regular analytical reports designed to monitor clinical operations and prospectively inform decision makers in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Routinely compile data, produce analyses, reports and dashboards that will assist departmental leadership in measuring ongoing performance of emergency services, as well as areas for improvement and future growth.
  • Manage, facilitate, and drive special projects at the directive of departmental leadership.

Expected Salary:

$68,000 - $75,500; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions
  • Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
