OPS Mental Health Counseling Intern |

| Job Description: | Individual will provide direct patient care to include mental health evaluations and individual, family and group therapies. Fifty percent of patients will be drawn from specialty clinics within the Division of Psychology, including the Intensive OCD Clinic. The other fifty percent of patients are drawn from Psychology patients (children, adolescents, and adults) seeking treatment for a wide range of mental health issues. Opportunities are also available to gain experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Parent-Child interaction Therapy (PCIT), Inpatient Psychotherapy. Supervision required for registered MHC interns is provided. In addition to gaining more experience in providing therapeutic services, this position fulfills the hours requirements and meets the criteria for Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns preparing for Florida licensure, including the required supervision from a Qualified Supervisor each week and training and education in the licensure process. |

$40,000 Annually |
| Minimum Requirements: |
Masters’ degree in counselor education or related field; Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the duties |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Well qualified candidates will be familiar with making mental health diagnoses using the DSM-5 and applying principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). |
