East Stroudsburg University’s
Department of Art-Media-Design is looking
for Adjunct Instructors to teach courses in foundation to advanced art/design and digital media studios and
classrooms. Located in the beautiful Pocono
Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU’s proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides
convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Just minutes
from campus are the country’s largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap
Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational
fun.
The Art +Media +Design Department is accepting
applications for future temporary positions in foundation to advanced traditional
to digital media (including Art History). Applicants will present teaching experience
in their area of competence, and an ability to integrate strong historical and
contemporary knowledge, theory, and professional experience in the field. The
successful candidate is expected to maintain ongoing creative endeavors in art,
design, and digital media practices and/or research and contribute to the
culture of the University through service activities.
The ESU Department of ART + MEDIA + DESIGN offers a wide
range of options that will prepare the student for B.A and B.F.A. degrees in Art
and design, and a B.S. in Digital Media. These degrees will allow the student to
meet the challenges of careers that include graphic design, web design, product
design, photography, illustration, 3D printing, studio art, digital production,
television, audio, video, and animation.
Qualifications
- The successful candidates will possess a minimum of a Master of Fine Art, Master of Industrial Design, and Master of Art, Ph.D. in Art History or a related field.
- Applicant must be competent to teach courses in any of the following courses: fundamental drawing, 2D or 3D design, painting, illustration, ceramics, graphic design, television, video, digital production, audio, instruction technology, web design, photography, product design, animation, or art history
