Job Description Summary
Student Managers are essential to the day-to-day operations of Saint Leo University Athletics. The purpose of the Saint Leo University Team Manager Program is to support the Department of Athletics and its 21 varsity athletics teams in all facets of their operations. Team managers will be responsible for working with one athletic team and assist the coaching staff during practices and games, as well as equipment, recruiting, and travel operations.

• Softball
• Baseball

• Men’s Soccer
• Women’s Basketball
• Men’s Basketball
• Men’s & Women’s Tennis
• Men’s Golf
• Acrobatics & Tumbling
• Women’s Lacrosse
• Men’s Lacrosse
• Volleyball - Indoor
• Beach Volleyball
• Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

Job Description
Duties and Tasks:
- Practice & game day setup and breakdown
- Laundry duties for items such as practice and game uniforms
- Observe or perform administrative duties during practice & games (track stats, run clock, filming, etc.)
- Assist with community service and fundraising events
- Other duties as assigned by coaching staff or athletic department staff member
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must follow all University, NCAA, and team rules
- Knowledge of sport is preferred but not required
- Must be able to work evening and weekends
- Hours will vary during in season/out of season
- Ability to work in various weather elements such as heat, cold, & rain
Required Skills: Reliability, Dependability, Punctuality, Self-Confidence
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Federal Work Study required
- Must be a current or incoming full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours per semester)
- Must be in good academic standing
- Previous team manager experience, sport knowledge, and/or training/playing is preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
- Some lifting may be required
- Working for an outside sports team may require being in the heat or cold for long periods of time
