The Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida seeks to hire an Adjunct Assistant Scientist to begin in August 1, 2024. This is a full-time, non-tenure accruing, time-limited position. Candidates with expertise in chemistry and biomedical engineering are encouraged to apply. Specifically, we are seeking individuals who have a focus on the following research areas: (1) Molecular diagnosis of cancers, (2) Extracellular vesicles, (3) Microfluidics (4) Nanoplasmonic biosensing, (5) Point-of-care testing.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida is a comprehensive department granting bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees with specialization in all areas including biochemistry, nanochemistry, analytical, inorganic, organic, physical, polymer, synthetic and theoretical chemistry. PhD in related fields including, but not limited to analytical chemistry, molecular biology, and biomedical engineering with 2 years of postdoctoral training and significant experience with molecular diagnosis of cancers.
