Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking a Business Admin Specialist to join the Fiscal Team in the Business Center, a unit within UFIT. The incumbent serves units within UFIT by providing support with monitoring, processing, reviewing, and approving transactional activities relating to commitment accounting and fiscal processes.

What you will do in the role as the Business Admin Specialist:

  • Process, review, and approve transactions on behalf of UF Information Technology (UFIT) units.  Responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and approving transactions submitted in myUFL by the Business Center staff and UFIT clients.
  • Provide support in analyzing, reconciling, and approving p-card charges for customer units.
  • Review and prepare all vouchers and journal entries for accuracy.
  • Process and provide oversight for travel authorization and expense reports.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure they are closed after items are received and paid.

Benefits

Full-time TEAMS employees will accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status, and are intended to give the flexibility to enable units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

$48,000 – $52,000; commensurate based on education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and five years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

  • The ability to work collegially and interact effectively with all constituencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and a customer service-oriented approach and mindset
