Workforce Development Co-ordinator

The Workforce Development Team provides operational processes and projects that enable the University to succeed through the excellence of its staff. You will play a key part by providing excellent quality administrative support, ensuring that services are efficient, effective and adapt to changing circumstances.

Our Co-ordinators have specialist areas of responsibility in which you will develop particular expertise, in this case the Academic Career Progression system. You will also work collaboratively across the team and with colleagues in the wider University, undertaking projects and supporting other work areas in Workforce Development. 

This is a busy and varied role involving communicating with staff and management at all levels across the University, and working with managers at the most senior level to ensure our academic colleagues can progress in their careers. Attention to detail and precise, professional communications are essential, as are the ability to meet deadlines and manage your time according to circumstances as priorities change.  


About you

Ideally, you will:

  • complete administrative tasks accurately and with tenacity and attention to detail
  • be able to work independently to follow standard procedures and solve problems that arise
  • communicate professionally and positively with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, including the highest
  • be energised by working in a team with a friendly, supportive culture
