Casual, Fixed term (x3 posts available)
Applications are invited for the post of Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology, FACE lab.
This Undergraduate Research Assistant role will support the PI of the FACE Lab (Dr. Mirta Stantic) in conducting several experiments investigating face memory ability in adult humans. This is a project sponsored by the Experimental Psychology Society. The aim of this project is to develop a reliable, sensitive, and unbiased face memory test. The motivation for this is two-fold. This test will 1) supplement existing, often inadequate, measures of face memory, and 2) provide a basis for dynamic interventions into face memory (which rest on the existence of a specific and sensitive test of face memory).
There are three posts available, and the students will work together with the PI to form experiments, code them, recruit participants, remunerate participants, and analyze the data.
You will be strongly proficient with Microsoft suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel). You will have excellent intrapersonal skills and experience working in a team. You will have some experience with either online experiment methodology (e.g., Qualtrics, Gorilla) or with recruitment of participants online (e.g., Prolific, SONA, your own recruitment).
For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Dr Mirta Stantic on [email protected]
For queries on the application process the Human Resources Department can be contacted by email at: [email protected]
