This is a unique opportunity to help develop and deliver an innovative new service which will benefit both trainee clinical psychologists and the broader student population at the University of Hull. We are seeking a clinical psychologist with additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to join our forward thinking and enthusiastic Clinical Psychology Doctorate (ClinPsyD) programme team. The main focus of the role will be to develop and lead a CBT service offering support to University students experiencing mental health difficulties. We would be happy to receive applications from those currently undertaking an accreditation in CBT or willing to work towards an accreditation. The successful applicant will work closely with the Clinical Psychology Programme Director and Clinical Practice Coordinator, and also with the University Student Support Services Mental Health and Wellbeing Team and Associate Director of Mental Health, in developing and delivering this service. The CBT service will be located within the Student Support Services Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, whose aim is to address barriers to student success providing a broad range of advice, guidance, support, and intervention. As a tutor and CBT service lead you will be involved in service development, support and supervision of staff within the student support services, supervision of trainee clinical psychologists on placement in the service, health promotion and prevention initiatives, and audit and evaluation work. The post holder will also have their own caseload within the service and will have the opportunity to be involved in CBT related teaching and accreditation processes on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate programme.

The salary is paid at NHS agenda for change scales band 8b. Secondment arrangements can be considered if preferred. Opportunities are available for hybrid working however, weekly on campus presence will be necessary for clinical work and supervision.
