We are looking for a Teaching and Research Fellow in Classical Art and Archaeology.

The opportunity:

The School of History, Classics and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh is pleased to invite applications for a three-year Teaching and Research Fellowship in Classical Art and Archaeology, within the Department of Classics. The candidate will be required to teach Greek Art and Archaeology at all levels, to both undergraduate and graduate students. The starting date is 1st September 2024.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Ability to teach both Greek and Roman Art and Archaeology
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to take responsibility for key decisions regarding research design, methodology and data collection and analysis.
  • Teaching experience at undergraduate level in Greek Art and Archaeology.
  • Portfolio of excellent research, including in the form of recent or forthcoming publications in the field, commensurate with career stage.
  • An understanding of and demonstrable commitment to promoting and embedding equality, diversity and inclusion principles and practices.
