About the role

The Department of Political Science is looking to hire one Teaching and Learning Coordinator – Student Experience. The post is an open ended role and available immediately. The salary will be on the UCL Teaching and Learning Grade 7, £42,099 - £50,585 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance).

The post will be one of four Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator posts in the team. The Teaching and Learning team (12 posts in total) is responsible for the delivery of a high-quality administrative service and student experience for the Department’s taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The post will provide comprehensive support on the Department’s teaching programmes, ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of programme administration. The post will work to ensure that best practice is implemented across the teaching administration team and address issues that arise, by providing leadership, training and support.

The post will have line management responsibilities of two direct reports. The role holders will act as one of four key contacts for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities in the Department from enquiry to completion, incorporating supporting committees, processes relating to student record management and the management of examination processes. About you

Experience of working in a higher education or other professional administration environment, with a good understanding of a cyclical workload with peaks and troughs, evidence of excellent administrative skills and a highly proactive approach to providing a comprehensive support service including providing a student/customer service are essential.
