We are looking for a Study Coordinator to join the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit – Behavioural Science and Evaluation (HPRU BSE) to coordinate an exciting and important study to strict deadlines.
The HPRU BSE is a partnership between the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and University of Bristol, in collaboration with the Medical Research Council (MRC) Biostatistics Unit at University of Cambridge and the University of the West of England. The HPRU undertakes high quality research that is used by UKHSA to keep the public safe from current and emerging public health threats.
This post has fixed funding until 31st March 2026
You will take on a key role in the set up and success of the Emergency Department Opt Out Blood Born Virus Testing study, leading on all aspects of the day to day management of this study, working with HPRU BSE researchers and NHE England colleagues to ensure the study is delivered on time and in accordance with current UK legislation and regulations.
You will be the main point of contact for sites, coordinating study activities and drafting study documents. You will lead on giving study updates at meetings internally and externally, and coordinate any study updates. Support will be provided from the HPRU Programme Manager and study Chief Investigator where required.
- You have experience of study coordination, working in research and regulatory processes.
- You are able to work well both independently and within a team, and have excellent communication skills.
- You have excellent, organisational, time management and communication skills.
- You are proactive and feel confident in quickly finding solutions to complex problems, work flexibly and prioritise your workload accordingly.
Contract type: Open-ended with funding until 31/03/2026
Work pattern: Part-time/ 0.8 FTE
Grade: I
Salary: £37,099 - £41,732 per annum pro rata
School/Unit: Bristol Medical School
Shift pattern: 28 hours per week
