Department
The Degree Conferrals Office is a small team which organises degree ceremonies and matriculation, produces degree certificates, transcripts, Diploma Supplements and degree confirmation letters, along with providing a recently launched edocuments service. Further, the team verifies degrees for third parties such as employers and other HEIs.
The Student Records Officer will play a key role within the Degree Conferrals Office, under the supervision of the Degree Conferrals Manager and the Deputy Degree Conferrals Manager, focusing on the edocuments service, printing of documents and verifications.

About the Role
The Student Records Officer is involved in:
- Completing the daily tasks required to provide the edocuments service such as; checking requests for documents to see if they have been issued and pushing data if they have not, offering guidance for display issues e.g different browser, clear cache, refresh etc, checking payments on the online store, customer service support.
- If required, printing degree certificates, transcripts, Diploma Supplements and degree confirmation letters.
- Verifications of degrees for third parties such as employers and other HEIs, via the verifications inbox.
- Maintaining the student records system (SITS) related to Degree Conferrals
- Assisting Degree Conferrals Officers with ceremony tasks during peak periods, which may include weekend working (with appropriate remuneration).
About You
We are looking for:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including experience of delivering professional customer service (by phone, email or in person) whilst under pressure.
- Experienced and confident in the use of computerised student record systems with an awareness of the issues relating to the provision of student data.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure in peak periods
- A high level of attention to detail.
