Background

The Schools of Communication and Creativity & Policy and Global Affairs are internationally excellent centres of research and learning on the human condition in all its dimensions. Together they are large and vibrant schools with around 4,200 students and over 300 staff.

Responsibilities

The post is responsible for monitoring student attendance and engagement and working proactively with students not engaging with teaching and learning. This will include activities to support student wellbeing, retention and progression. This will also include working with the University and School’s policies and procedures in relation to the UK Government points-based immigration system.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and possess well-developed active listening, verbal and written communications skills that enable them to work effectively with students with empathy and tact. They will have experience working in a busy customer focused office environment, dealing with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

The ideal candidate would have experience of working in higher education administration, in student experience, student welfare or similar areas.
