Structural Operative (Fixtures & Fittings)

This new full-time post is immediately available on a permanent basis.

Hours of work are based on a 5 week rolling rota of 4 days per week, 3 days of 9 hours and 1 day of 9.5 hours.

The role

The Engineering and Direct Works department is responsible for a significant proportion of the technical management and maintenance of the University’s Estate. The dedicated in house maintenance team provides in and out of hours planned and reactive maintenance on our lovely University of Exeter Campus.

Reporting to the Structural Team Leader, you will be a member of the operational team working alongside other maintenance operatives in the Electrical, Mechanical, Building & Structural Services.

We are looking for a customer focused team player who can work alone, or in a team and be able to use initiative to prioritise work demands and meet deadlines. Having prior experience or qualifications in Structural works and recent proven practical experience in property maintenance works or small works.
