The role

We are seeking to recruit a Staff Tutor in in Film and Media. The postholder will be responsible for the recruitment, appointment, line management and career development of Open University Associate Lecturer staff. They will also be involved with tuition management; will liaise with student-facing sections of the university to support student success; and will have the opportunity to get involved with scholarship research within the School.

Skills and experience

You will have:

  • the ability to select, manage, motivate and provide staff development for Associate Lecturers.
  • relevant experience of teaching, management of teaching, and student support.
  • an understanding of issues of student access, retention, diversity and success in the context of higher education.
  • a record of scholarship, research and/or knowledge exchange that is commensurate to the position.
