 About the Role

 This is an exciting opportunity for a Staff Recruitment Assistant or Administrator to join the Staff Recruitment team within Staff Recruitment, Payroll & Pension Services (SRPPS)

You will be responsible for duties including the effective management of live vacancies in the E-Recruitment System, facilitating interview arrangements, pre-employment checks and onboarding, and ensuring University recruitment and selection procedures are followed and an excellent service is provided. You will also facilitate pre-employment processes and contractual administration for a wide range of candidates and provide guidance for candidates and managers to enable timely onboarding and ongoing awareness and compliance with legislation including right to work.

If appointed to the post as Staff Recruitment Administrator, you will also support pre-employment clearances of specialist roles and of candidates who require sponsorship for Skilled Worker visa.

As Staff Recruitment Assistant or Administrator, you will:

  • Have experience of delivering efficient and effective customer service
  • Have high attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Be organised and able to prioritise own workload
  • Proven team working skills
  • Good IT skills and confidence in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel with the ability to learn, embrace and use digital technology and database systems
  • Be able to use initiative, carry out research and contribute ideas to improve processes and adapt to changing legislative requirements
  • Be a resilient, flexible problem solver; able to remain calm under pressure whilst recognising and adapting readily to changing priorities
