Updated: 25 days ago
Location: Cambridge, ENGLAND
Job Type: PartTime
Deadline: 27 May 2024

The Special Collections Division of the main University Library is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and user-focused person to join its dedicated and friendly reading room teams, working on Mondays, and Wednesday to Friday (29.2 hours).

As a Special Collections User Services Assistant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of our services to users, particularly our reading rooms. You will be mainly responsible for fetching and reshelving highly valuable and fragile physical items, handling everything with great care. You will ensure that security procedures are followed at all times in the secure storage areas and the reading rooms. Given the nature of the job, it's important that you are able to carry out repetitive tasks accurately, such as recording and organising data, and be able to demonstrate attention to detail.
