The Cambridge MBA is a high-profile rigorous 12-month teaching programme and one of the main revenue contributors of Cambridge Judge Business School, relying on the skilled administration and professional services to provide high level planning, support, and operational delivery for all stakeholders. The current MBA has c215 post-experience students each year, with an average age of 29, and an average GMAT of 690, and over 40 different nationalities represented; the programme itself is the largest graduate programme in the University and offers more than 40 hours of classroom time per week per student in each of the three core terms. The team deliver 90 taught courses, workshops, ten concentrations, three client-based projects and summer activities over 12 months and manage around 6000 pieces of assessment each year.

The role holder is required to create and manage the essential foundation blocks of the academic degree delivery and ensure all aspects of support are in place for the programme to be delivered successfully. The role holder themselves must be able to manage their own workload and work independently, whilst having a very broad view of all aspects of the programme, a full understanding of the wider School context and to fully understand the impact any decision at this level has on the delivery of the programme/student experience/programme reputation and relationships with other School users.

The role holder is responsible for all aspects of operational delivery including the management of the timetabling requirements for the entire academic programme, sourcing, hiring and payment of TA support for all courses, set up and management of all assessment rounds (including managing examiners and markers) which run based on a policy of rolling assessment throughout the year; management and review of assessment related VLE set up, operational delivery of classroom teaching and associated practicalities, budget management, and annual policy review. This requires significant and in-depth knowledge of all teaching and requires the role holder to work closely with teaching faculty, facilities, other programme teams, the timetabling unit and all other teams involved in academic course delivery across the school. The role holder offers advisory to students mainly around process and policy linked with class set up, assessment processes, and is asked to make clear independent decisions which have a direct impact on student experience, teaching and learning. The role holder must also be able to advise on programme and project policy outside of their direct area of responsibility and supervise the transmission of knowledge between key members of the team.
