The Role

We are seeking a full-time Senior Teaching Fellow to teach modules in Animal Physiology, Marine Ecology and Conservation Science to students on our BSc Biology, BSc Zoology and BSc Ecology and Conservation courses. The role holder will give lectures, run practicals, supervise a small number of undergraduate research projects and dissertations, and set and mark assessments. Contributions to a Marine Biology residential field trip are also desirable. The appointee will contribute to the Department’s pastoral support processes by running small group tutorials, and to our student recruitment efforts by helping with occasional Open Days. The post is available for 12 months from 1st September 2024.

About You

You hold a PhD degree in a relevant discipline and subject expertise in the required areas. You will have demonstrated experience in delivering high quality undergraduate teaching. You are highly motivated and have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
