Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.

We are seeking to recruit a statistical researcher to provide statistical and epidemiological leadership for the team studying the Benefits and Risks of Cancer Treatments.  The post-holder will play a key role in developing the strategic direction of future research carried out by the team and in securing funding for it.  The successful candidate will work as part of a team that includes statisticians, epidemiologists, oncologists, a surgeon, a radiotherapy physicist, and DPhil students.

To be considered you will hold a PhD in statistics or a closely related field. You will have experience of managing research projects and staff, with an established international publication record, and success in leading research grants. Strong programming skills in a statistical language, such as R, Stata, Python or C/C++, etc are essential for this post. Experience of leading research programmes, including setting the strategic direction would be desirable.

The post is full-time (although part-time is considered) and fixed term for three years in the first instance.
