As part of Warsash Maritime School, Solent University, Maritime Management courses offer commercial education, training and consultancy services to the international maritime industry across a variety of academic and professional disciplines.
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer to support the development and delivery of the short courses in maritime management, safety & security, which are aimed at merchant navy officers, professional yachtsmen and maritime managers.
A professional seafarer background with relevant professional STCW certificate along with a Master's degree in relevant field is essential for this role.
You will have teaching skills, and preferably hold a recognised teaching qualification and Life Support skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for student learning are essential. Some unsocial hours and UK/international travel may occasionally be required.
