As a Senior Lecturer with a specialism in Secondary Modern Foreign Languages, working within our Secondary Education area, you will be responsible for teaching, learning and assessment of students at postgraduate level.

You will also work with our school partners who provide trainee education placements. 

If you hold appropriate qualifications, you may also contribute to other related teaching at Masters level and PhD supervision, providing opportunities to contribute to teams across the Sheffield Institute of Education (SIoE).

You will be encouraged and supported to continue to develop your own research profile and there are varied opportunities to do this.

For teaching delivery, the Institute of Education is organised into varied subject areas.

The Modern Foreign Languages course develops students to teach at Key Stage 3 & 4 with post-16 enrichment.  You will lead the PGCE Secondary Modern Foreign Languages with QTS courses across the Provider-led and Lead Partner (LP) routes. 

The PGCE Secondary Modern Foreign Languages with QTS course recruits across both Lead Partner and Sheffield Hallam led routes.
